The 58th edition of the Milan Salone del Mobile 2019 is approaching and at Smania the preparations for the most important international event of the year are well underway. The company reconfirms its creative DNA and its vocation for experimentation, presenting a new total look collection with a spirit as bold as it is beautiful.

The new proposal that will be presented at the Milan Salone del Mobile 2019 does not renounce the classic – modern combination that has always guided the philosophy of Smania, but reveals an even stronger sensitivity towards the needs and expectations of the contemporary man and woman. The inspiring theme of the collection is the relationship between nature and our life, understood in a broad sense, especially with reference to our daily life and our habits.

The aim of Smania is to give life, with new products, to warm and enveloping atmospheres, that are able to communicate the sense of protection and comfort of a luxurious refuge, but at the same time one that is capable of transmitting also those feelings of freedom and peace typical of being outdoors, immersed in a pleasant natural environment. To achieve this, Smania’s work has developed simultaneously on various tracks: to create a design that is evocative, with an elegant style, making the most of the characteristics of the materials and their experience of their processing, concentrating on refined and precious details.

The result of this design work is the new inside-out collection, a fascinating proposal characterised by great versatility and adaptability. From the apartment in the city to the country villa, from the veranda to the winter garden, the new products have an attractive design that fits perfectly within various contexts, without strictly defined borders.

The new collection will consist of the KILLIAN armchair and sofa, the ZAREN and HARRIET coffee tables, the FLINT table, the ANTILLIA armchair, the CASSIDY sideboard, the ATLANTIS double bed and the KIDA bedside table. Wood is reconfirmed as the protagonist with sinuous lines and soft finishes, in perfect harmony with the metal weaves and with the elements in leather, fabric and glass having surprising textures. The connection between design, materials and craftsmanship creates a sophisticated balance, an expression of the Made in Italy excellence that Smania represents in the world.
